WHAT KIND OF REMEDIES ARE AVAILABLE ?

There several kinds of remedies avialable in Homoeopathy, these include the classic Single remedy, Nosodes, Combinations, Complex, Organ and so on.  What follows below is a brief description of the types of remedy available as well as the mediums they are available in.

REMEDY TYPES AND THEIR MEANING

Single Remedy:

A remedy made from a single specific substance and can be animal vegatable or mineral eg: Arnica, Silicea, Lac Humanis

Combination Remedy:

A remedy that has two or more single remedies combined together to make a specific formula.  Many of these combiantions have been given a special name to indicate their use eg:  Injury Mix, Colds, Acidity or Acne. .

Complex Remedy:

This is a combination of combinations and is, as its name suggests, complicated in its makeup.  ie Narayani Digestion Balance BR9 contains  8 single remedies and  9 Organ remedies.  These are carefully formulated to ensure they do not antidote each other and cover the symptom subject well and are usually the result of decades of clinical trials in the real world.  The final formula being the combination of remedies that has the best effect over the majority of people exhibiting a specifc set of symptoms.  They are used while the practitioner is working on the case or by the patient themselves selecting a suitable formular for their condition..

Organo Remedies:

Also known as Organotherapy is an  emerging branch of Homeopathy that utilises the use of organ remedies, made from the health tissues of animals, to treat the patient, working on the basic principles of Homeopathy, i.e. like cures like.

In Organotherapy, the understanding is that every living organ is capable of recognizing its own signature and responding. The theory has been demonstrated experimentally as well and is a system used by many Homeopathic Doctors around the world, especially in Australia.

This is what is called tissue memory, and it stimulates the exact reproduction of the cells of the tissue in a diseased state.

 Nosode:

A nosode (from nosos, the Greek word meaning disease) is a homeopathic
preparation made from matter from a sick animal or person. Substances such as respiratory discharges or diseased tissues are used. It sounds repulsive, but
the preparation, using alcohol, as well as the repeated dilution and succussion,
essentially renders the substances harmless, while producing a powerful remedy.
The use of nosodes in a prophylactic manner, for preventing disease, has been used in veterinary and human homeopathy for many, many years. It is supported by various holistic practioners both for humans and veterinarians. The use of nosodes for prophylaxis has proven to be both effective and safe with no known side effects

Sarcodes:

In Greek the term ‘Sarcode’ means fleshy. Sarcodes imply protoplasm of animals as distinguished from vegetable protoplasm. In homeopathy some of the Sarcodes are proved medicines. They are obtained from healthy endocrine or ductless glands or normal secretions of living human organs & lower animals. The secretions are mostly hormones.

eg: Adrenaline, eholestinium, feltari, insulin, pancreatium, Pepsinum.pitutory,Thyroidinum, Vulpis-fel etc.
